All projects should be  adequately planned.

Project planning  involves identifying the  cost and the duration of  the project, as well as  the level of resources  that each part of the  project will need.

There are a number of  techniques that can be  used to assist project  planning.

Network planning  techniques such as  critical path analysis are  traditionally used to  help in the project  planning process.

In fact, there are many  different software  packages that can help  in this activity.
Perhaps the best  known of these is  Microsoft Project.
